Sr. Algorithms & Control Engineer, Motion Planning
About The Position
Job Summary: As a Senior Motion Planning and Control Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing state-of-the-art motion planning, guidance, and control algorithms for our autonomous driving systems. You will analyze intricate traffic scenarios and construct algorithms to ensure safe, efficient vehicle behavior. Your work will directly impact our autonomous vehicles' safety, efficiency, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced algorithms for guidance and control in autonomous driving systems.
- Design, conduct, and analyze system-level tests and experiments to validate the performance of control algorithms.
- Optimize control algorithms for real-time execution on embedded platforms and systems.
- Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in autonomous vehicle motion planning, and control.
- Actively contribute to the team's technical discussions, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field with a strong emphasis on control theory.
- Extensive experience with motion planning, and control algorithms for Autonomous Systems.
- Proficient with complex electromechanical drive systems, dynamic systems, and control theory.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
Preferred Requirments:
- Strong mathematical skills, with an emphasis on probabilistic reasoning, optimization techniques, and linear algebra.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics and experience with inertial navigation systems.
- Experience with real-time systems and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of sensor fusion, and localization algorithms.
- Experience with state estimation and filtering techniques (e.g., Kalman filters, particle filters).
