Autonomous Driving Solution for Buses and Shuttles
Imagry provides an HD-mapless L4 autonomous driving solution for buses on public roads and in operational zones.
There is a growing global demand for shuttles and buses that run on clean energy and improve service by increasing frequency and hours of operation. However, there is an estimated 14% worldwide shortage of professional drivers, which is growing by a percentage point each year.

Autonomous Buses & Shuttles
The answer: L4 autonomous driving for urban routes and operational zones, including:
Medical Centers
& Hospitals
Resorts & Vacation
Villages
University &
College Campuses
Public Parks &
Recreational Areas
While most autonomous shuttle solutions are limited to speeds of 20 km/h or less, our vehicles can travel up to 50 km/h. The ability to travel at posted speed limits is instrumental in maintaining traffic flow, achieving passenger satisfaction, and promoting acceptance of autonomous vehicles by others who share the road.
Current Projects
We currently have been awarded three pilot projects for midi-size buses in Israel – one at the Sheba Medical Center (running since February 2023), another in the northern city of Nahariya, and the third in Tel Aviv.

Summary of Imagry’s core competencies for autonomous driving in buses and shuttles:
HD-mapless driving ensures location independence (generalization) since motion planning is done based on real-time inputs from cameras, meaning the solution is quickly deployed without the expense and continuing communication costs of HD mapping solutions
Strong machine learning, AI, and image recognition IP, resulting in a software stack that mimics true human driving capabilities as proven in numerous urban driving scenarios across multiple cities and vehicles
Safety above all: our autonomous bus is the
first in the world to successfully pass stringent NCAP safety standards
Autonomous driving experience on public roads since 2019 (currently operating in the U.S., Germany, Japan, and Israel)
Field-proven, as it has already been integrated into L4 autonomous electric buses (6.6 meters) in both operational zones as well as urban public transportation routes
